Dog Walking
‘We were looking for a dog walker to come and spend some time with Toby whilst we were at work. We are out of the house for a long time during the day and wanted him to have some company. During the time Nicola has been visiting Toby we have found her very flexible adapting the service provided to meet Toby’s needs, honest and trustworthy. Toby enjoys the time spent with him and we are left a note to let us know what he has been up to. Having Nicola visit Toby puts our minds at rest knowing he is getting more attention and a good play during the day, which he wouldn’t otherwise get’

House Sitting

‘Gemma has taken care of our two Springer’s twice now and we have been able to go away confident in the knowledge that they were being well taken care of and in their own familiar environment and routine.
We had, up to last October, relied on friends to dog sit but had become increasingly reluctant to ask them to take on such a commitment. We had looked at kennels but had decided that Rhedyn, who is quite a nervous dog, might not settle there and that worrying about them could ruin our holiday. We were really excited therefore when Nicola told us that she could arrange a house sitter for us. Gemma came round to the house a week before to complete the very thorough paperwork e.g. what the dogs were allowed/not allowed to do in the house, where they slept, what they ate, when they got treats, how they reacted to other dogs, if they were ok off lead, what medication they had, what toys they played with. She wanted to know about the house too – bins, alarms, water etc
She was also able to spend time with the dogs and I could see that they bonded with her straight away. She is an outdoors person and a runner and I knew that the dogs would love the walks with her. When she was here she managed to continue with her usual dog walking commitments during the day and, once she was confident about our two fitting in, she took them along too.
At the end of the stay she wrote us a lovely report telling us what they had been up to during the day and in the evenings and she seemed to have really enjoyed being with them. The house was immaculate when we returned. She had cleaned throughout and had left everything just as she found it. That was an added bonus. I have already recommended her to friends. She does an excellent job and the dogs love her.’

‘Last July/August I went away for my summer holiday in the knowledge that all my pets were in good hands. Gemma was a friend of mine prior to her starting pet sitting so I was quite happy to have her stay at my house. She really had her work cut out at my house as she had 16 pets to care for!
These included a 10yr old sheltie, a 2yr old black Labrador, 4 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, 1 tortoise, 2 chickens and 3 chicks(born only a couple of days before we left her in charge) and a tank of tropical fish.
She did a superb job (almost full time job) and all my pets were absolutely fine on my return, as was my house etc. I was given a full daily report on everything I missed whilst I was away. This alternative to kennels etc is so much better and I had a more relaxing and enjoyable holiday knowing that my pets were in their own surroundings. I would definitely recommend Gemma for pet sitting and will certainly be asking her again if we go away this year (if she will come back!!)’

Dog Training
‘As you know, we brought Mitzie to your classes not just for training but also as a way of helping to increase her confidence. ‘I didn’t think that by the time a dog was 5 years old you would be able to teach them new commands but I have been amazed at how well Jess has responded to the classes and 3 sessions later will do just about anything that is asked of her. She always got very excited when it came to Sunday evenings and though quite a nervy dog she is now a lot happier around other dogs. The novelty tricks class that she finally attended, suited her to the ground and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time spent with Nicola and the other group members and dogs. I am now hoping to enrol her in an agility class as these classes have shown that this is something that she loves to do. Thank you Nicola for all the help and encouragement you given us.’

The dog agility and rally training has been good fun for both Skye and I, we have a great time each week learning new skills and meeting new friends.’
