About Us
Contented PetCare and Contented Canines Training School were established in 2008 by experienced animal carer and dog trainer Nicola Davies APDT 01059.
Contented Petcare offers Dog Walking, Puppy Visits, Cat Sitting, Small Animal Sitting, Dog Home Boarding and House Sitting services.
Contented Canines Training School runs a wide range of dog training classes in Glossop and Broadbottom.
Prior to setting up Contented PetCare and Contented Canines Training School I worked as a veterinary nurse and volunteered as a dog walker, dog trainer and home checker for several animal rescues. I live in Glossop and share my home with Joey, my beautiful black Labrador, and my two cats, Dave and Mavis who make sure that there is never a dull moment in our house!
In 2008 after training dogs for several years I took the Dog Training Behaviour and Instructors Course at Derbyshire Canine Centre. In 2009 I was assessed and accepted for membership by the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and I am also currently studying for my Higher Diploma in Cynology.
Our small team of pet sitters has been carefully chosen over the years, and each member is experienced, fully insured and police checked.
Hazel joined Contented PetCare to compliment her previous work nursing, but having met all of the animals, she now gives all of her time to them. Hazel has had a variety of pets including tortoises, chickens, rabbits, rats, cats and dogs. Hazel currently lives with 7 rats.
Gemma has lived in Glossop for 12 years since emigrating from South Africa. Growing up she had a menagerie of pets, including dogs, feral cats that she managed to domesticate, birds, hamsters, fish and a tortoise. Gemma has recently volunteered at the local vets, and currently has a moggy called Phoebe who is 12 years old.
Caroline was a foster carer for the Manchester Dog's Home for several years before moving to Glossop and extending her family by a Border Collie Cross and a German Shepherd, and has experienced most breeds, temperaments, and situations of the canine variety! She is a self confessed animal obsessive having owned rats, snakes, cats and fish in the past. She is never afraid of bad weather, and thinks there's nothing better than stretching your legs with a doggie companion!
Zoe is a qualified canine and equine chiropracter, who runs her own small business treating dogs and horses with musculoskeletal problems. She has grown up with a range of pets from dogs and cats, to rabbits and hamsters. She currently shares her home with her own Labrador X Weimaraner called Jet.
Kimberley is an enthusiastic animal lover, who owns a recue dog, two rescue cats and two horses. Growing up Kimberley assisted at her mum's dog grooming business for many years, which was where her love for dogs grew. Kimberley has also volunteered at weekends at a local stables and is used to being outside in all kinds of weather!
