Dog Training Classes Glossop
Contented Canines Training School runs a wide range of dog training classes in Glossop. We currently offer Puppy Training Classes, Adult Dog Training Classes, and classes offering Agility, Rally, Tricks and Advanced Dog Training.
Dog and Puppy training classes are a fantastic and enjoyable way to educate, train and socialise your dog or puppy, and are also a great way for dog owners to meet other like-minded people and make new friends – both canine and human!
Training classes are run by Nicola Davies APDT Member 01059, and taught by both Nicola and Kristy Worsell. Classes are fully insured, and spaces are limited to ensure you receive individual attention.
The training curriculum is always tailored to the learning speed and needs of each class and individual dogs. As a reward based training class we do not endorse any harsh methods. We use hands-off, positive training using treats, praise and encouragement to help the dogs learn.
Home training sessions are also available for those who are unable to attend class or who need to work on a specific problem. An individual Home Training Session costs £30.
Puppy Training Classes – 8 week course costing £60

The Puppy Training Course is designed for puppies who are under 6 months of age. By the end of the course you will have learnt how to teach your puppy to Sit, Lie Down, Stay, Leave, Recall, and Walk to Heel. We also discuss essential puppy topics such as Socialisation, Housetraining, Bite Inhibition and Healthcare.
Beginners Dog Training Classes – 8 week course costing £60

The Beginners Course is for dogs of all ages and abilities. It provides dogs and handlers with an excellent introduction to training. By the end of the course you will have learnt how to teach your dog to Sit, Lie Down, Stay, Leave, Recall and Walk to Heel. We also discuss essential topics such as Food Manners, Doggy Diets and Not Jumping Up.
Combination Dog Training Classes – 8 week course costing £60
Next course starts Sunday 10th June 2012
The Combination Course is for adult dogs and puppies who have completed the Beginners Course, and want to continue with their dog training. Each week covers different activities, such as Agility, Tricks, Rally and more Advanced pet dog obedience training.

Want to try Agility, Rally, Tricks and Games in a relaxed, friendly and sociable environment? We'll even provide refreshments for dogs and owners! Our Friday Fun Club is open to all dogs who have a basic level of training and can work around other dogs. The club will be more flexible than a standard training class, although you will always have the guidance and support of an experienced trainer while you learn.
On Agility nights, we work on exercises such as Jumps, Tunnels and Weaves. On Tricks nights, we work on fun tricks such as Paw, Spin, and Roll Over, and focus on exercises tailored to each individual handlers and dogs own talents and flair. On Rally nights, we work on a groundbreaking new style of dog training! It has been described as a cross between Agility and Competitive Obedience and is set to be the next big thing in dog training! On Advanced nights, we work on more advanced pet dog training exercises such as Chase Recall, Work at a Distance, Work Out of Sight, and Emergency Stop.
